I'm not sure where to post this...but would it be possible to tune a regular mandolin like I assume a piccolo (is this the same as mandolino) mandolin is tuned?
I'm thinking of making the D course the top pair--same tuning and tension as standard mando--then, A, then E, and add the lightest loop string I can find and hope to bring it up to B. # I can find .008" plain strings. #Would they stand the tension?
Anyone ever try this? #Results?
