I have a Wednesday Jam Session set up here at work.

Any suggestions? ...experiences? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Looks like we old school Rush will be on the play list.

Geddy, Alex and Neil would be proud of us http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

We used to have jam session/parties every other Friday afternoon at the shop where I used to work. Of coarse, we were building instruments there anyway, but it turned into a fun tradition that lasted for a while.

Sunburst, #That is what I call the ultimate job!!!!

Unfortunately I'm in the Outsourceing business and my jam time is limited to when I'm working in the the El Paso office. #The last two days of the week are the days that I work in the Juárez, Mexico office. #Besides management being a little stuffy on our Mexican Operations, there are not too many mandolin players in Juárez.

Mandy-Man, #I've just hired someone in Mexico and I have one open position left in El Paso. #

What are the benefits? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif #Wednesday Jam Sessions #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Hey Keith: I saw a guy at work with a fiddle case walking down the hall and later heard him play with a classical quartet in a conference room. I approached him and asked if he played other music and he turned out to be an old time dance player. He invited me to his Thursday lunch jam with a b*?j# and guitarist and I played once a week for 6 months. great experience! enjoy while it lasts. I moved on to a new job and I doubt that I will find a group like that again.

Well it looks like Wednesday Jam Sessions will be on a regular basis.

I was amazed how we were able to "pick" along and off each other.

My buddy wrote a song on the classical guitar and my mandolin F-Holes sounds great!!!!
