The Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering is a three-day acoustic music festival featuring the best in old-time, bluegrass, swing jazz fiddle, string band, Celtic and ethnic music on one stage. Past performers have included John Hartford, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Johnny Gimble, John McCutcheon, Mike Seeger, Tom Paley, Chris Thile & Nickel Creek, Robin & Linda Williams, Carry Newcomer, Howard Armstrong, Johnny Frigo, Claude Williams, Jethro Burns, Rocky Stone, and countless others.

I wish I could go this year, but I'm already committed to back up some friends at a conference. It's a great time. It's also simply known as "Battleground."

This is also one of my favorite festivals, and I also won't make it this year because of a friends wedding. But I did want to chime in with my support - great festival and well organized; small, low key, family friendly, and of course, great music.
