For those of you out there who have a varnish finish mando / violin, what polish or cleaner do you use - if any? #I've used most of the commercially available cleaners / polishes (Virturoso, Martin, Dunlop 65, GHS) to clean lacquer finishes for my guitars but I have no experience with varnish. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Soft cleaning cloth after each use; no foreign 'substances', ever.

If the finish is under six months old you should use just a soft 100% cotton cloth and water to clean it. After that I would highly recommend Dave Harvey's polish which you can buy through Gibson OAI in Nashville. PM BigJoe and I am sure he can hook you up with some. I wouldn't trust anything else on my varnish.
