Got my Godin a-8 last week and am wearing out my fingertips on it (but enjoying it ) Question is I seem to get a real low-end sort of drone noise from the bass string, even at low volume and behind the PA speakers (can't be feedback ?) granted I am not what you would call a "mando player" (more guitar)so might be a technique thing. But has anyone else who own's one of these had a similar problem ? I am enjoying the ease of play on this thing though , compared to my cheap-o epi MM-20 that I traded in on it .
cheers

My Godin has a lot of sustain on the low G strings--is that what you're describing? I generally cut the bass with the on-board EQ, and it hasn't been a problem in live performance.

I love my Godin, and as I've said in these pages too many times, it's what got me back to playing the mandolin again. Enjoy yours.
