I just got the dvd of doc & dawg. They do summertime. Throughout the first part Doc is playing a chord progression, E to B7 to http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif??. I can't make out what he's playing for the next chord. Can anyone help.
By the way, it's a great dvd.

I'll have to take a look at the video to be sure, but I think the part you're looking for goes from Em to B7/F# to G and back down. You want that nice 0-2-3-2-0 bass line on the 6th string.

You can fret both the 5th & 6th strings with your middle finger, or fret the 6th with your thumb.
