A guy sold a "haunted" mantle clock a few years ago. Despite it being broken, the listing took on a life of its own, and he made out well. This one is not written nearly as well as it could be so I don't expect it to really catch fire, but one should never underestimate the levels of stupidity out there http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Wonder if it knows any jazz? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif
My wife often wonders if a dead guy is playing my mando. #The conversation usually goes something like this:
Her: "Steve... #Steve... #Steve are you listening to me? #STEVE... #STEVE!!!"
Me: Looking up from my mando, sometimes with drool hanging from my chin, my brain finally registering, "Huh? Did you say something?"

Yeah, I get that all the time from my wife too, never could figure out why she keeps calling me Steve though.

Hmmm. Maybe I should bid on it. The thing may play better than I do.
Maybe Ricky could perform an exorcism on it? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

He must be an English major.
Haunted listings are becoming very common on eBay. The silliest I've seen was a haunted disney plush toy (from Lilo & Stich I think).
Here's an excerpt from a Chicago Tribune article on the phenomenon:

I always wonder who's actually buying this stuff.

Maybe I'll buy it and keep it around long enough for it to give me a few lessons.

Steve, my wife said "If you play that passage one more time, i'm going to leave you..."
God, I'm going to miss that woman.....

Hmmm... I wonder if the "ghost in the machine" would give me free mando lessons. (Hey, it might even begin to play itself at night. Or it could start causing havoc at the Bluegrass club like that pistol did in that show "Dead Man's Gun".... - Dead Man's Mando.) Well, it couldn't be anymore "evil" than my old Hyburn...grumble...piece of junk....grumble. Sorry, I'm rambling in my old age. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
