a friend of mine sent me this regarding his new charango - can you relate?:

I can't put the thing down,
If I put it down,
I only think about picking it up ...

Whoops! #That "smiley" there with the raised eyebrow... #I did not insert... #It naturally came about, (I think) because I typed in three (3) exclamation points... #I dunno... #But, I didn't put it there...

HOWEVER! #YES! #Italian (haiku?) (hint, hint) is refreshing.

Saw this on a Yahoo music group, an armadillo/charango haiku:

completely gutted
a shell of my former self
no mood for love songs

FWIW, I bought my wife a critterless charango for Christmas last year. Instead of using a real dillo shell, the back was carved to look like an armadillo. It has a very nice sound and looks great hanging on the wall, but I've yet to learn how to play the thing. (Too many notes, not enough time.)

Been thinkin' about your tag line
John Craton
'Pick your fingers to the bone, then pick with the bone'

Mebbe we could change the line in the song to
"Work your fingers to the bone
whatta ya get?....
Better string engagement"
