I went to a jam yesterday and there was little ol' me with my Eastman 615 between three Brentrups - my Eastman was telling me that he wanted to be a Brentrup when he grows up, man those babies sounded good , especially that black faced Italian owned by Mr. Coleman , then Bill James Red Spruce , and one of the original ones - I think a sitka spruce , and they all kicked butt. I do think the third cousin ( Eastman ) held up well...

Hans makes a "killer" mando. It must have been a real treat to hear three at the same time in a jam.

Kbone,
Was that one of the MBOTMA-sponsored jams?

I wonder who was that Mr. Coleman? I am a Mr. Coleman too, and I also want a Brentrup.

Coleman , as in Rob Coleman - owner of many fine mandolins. The jam is held at a fellow's house here in Brooklyn Center every other Thursday , that's BC Minnesota. yea Dale , it was a treat..

Ahh...then I guess it wasn't you. But why don't you give Hans a call? Then you also could be "that Mr. Coleman" http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

How about that fiddler who could make his fiddle sound like just about any animal or thing you could think of? He did a farmer getting a cell phone call and talking to his wife! We were in stitches!

That makes me Lee Coleman, owner of many fine mandolins who is somewhat over-extended at the moment.
Any Brentrups residing in the Philly region for a look-see?
