Just curious for any feedback folks may have on this piece of gear. I did a test run in a music store with my Collings and a Schertler Dyn pickup. It sounded pretty good in the store, and seems like a well built piece of gear - I was just curious if anyone has used it out in the "real world" and what their impressions of it are....

Thanks for your time!

I use it with an acoustic guitar and love it. I have been going to try it with a mandolin, but have not had time to fool with it yet. I recommend the Aura and some of the guys that use it around here absolutely love it!

I'm very curious about it. I like that it's available as an outboard unit.

I've been using it with my guitar. It sounds pretty good. I think I saw a sound file for the mandolin, but you will need a midi card to transfer the sound file to the AURA. It looks simple enough to create your sound files as well. It doesn't use batteries, but a plug. Once you register your product you have access to the AURA website that has all sorts of sound files. You will need to plug in directly for the sound file to work properly, so you can use your wireless unit on this unit. It takes getting used to the tuner, but I haven't used it to tune my mando.
