When i click on a tabledit file from co-mando it gives me this gibberish on a notepad. co-mando doesnt have a forum to discuss things like this so i figured i would ask the wonderful people here;
do you know whats wrong and how to fix it.

This may be a dumb question, but have you installed TablEdit or the TEF Viewer? If not, the files won't open. If you have installed the program, then maybe your system somehow got set to open a .tef file with Notepad instead of TablEdit. If you open your Control Panel, then click Tools on the menu, then click Folder Options, then click the File Types tab and find TEF files in the list of file types. Make sure it is set to open with TablEdit (or the viewer).

To continue with what Sjennings said: If you don't have "tefview" or "Tabledit", go to www.tabledit.com (http://www.tabledit.com) and download the free 'tefview' program. Simple. Then open your .tef files in it, and bam! You are off and running. Oh yeah, tefview will play the midi file along with you while you practice and much more. The full Tabledit version will do a ton more than that.
Good luck!

Depending on your operating system, browser, etc., you may have to right click and choose "save as" instead of just clicking on the file.
