what's the most common way of strapping an A style. Has anyone put a strap button on one. I guess the headstock is most common, but I find it a little uncomfy. I'm getting one, and was just wondering. my pal has a nice little A strat-o-lin, and it just doesn't feel right with strap on the headstock, IMO. I saw a pic of one with the strap running under the fretboard and around the neck at the body. Is this common?

I run my strap under the fingerboard extension and it works fine.

I put a strap button on the back of the mandolin about 3/4" inch (or so) behind the heel/body connection. Works well and there's no tendency for the mando to want to roll over as there sometimes is when the button is put on the heel.

Dale, can you do a picture, or link to one that I could see. That sounds like a good way to me.
