This was last weekend Friday-Sunday. The main instructors were Sam Bush, Skip Gorman and John McGann. About 10 Other assistants were there to learn from and pick with. The assistants played other instruments to like Neil Rossi on fiddle and others. See here (http://www.mugwumps.com/mcn.html). I'd say a good half were old time mando players that all played melody together -often in large groups. A nice young fella in his teens (Jeff I think) from the cafe said hello and he's a darn good picker I could learn a thing or 2 from. The instructors were pretty accessable as most people there were older ones (compared to me at 42) so there was not a Bush craze going on.
I was not such an elaborate camp as the symposium. At night they had sheduled picking jams like Up to Speed Old Time, Medium Old Time, Up to Speed Bluegrass, Medium Bluegrass. Of course these went late into the night. A fun weekend for sure.
