I just got off the phone with Ken Cartwright, and grabbed a Breedlove Quartz KO from him. Pricing so low he's giiiiiiiivvvving the things away! (Does anybody remember that from Crazy Eddie's?) Very cool! Now there's an instrument that's not overpriced for what it is...especially at $700!
Ken is just killing me with those prices! I already have so many mandolins I can barely move, AND I have a Breedlove KF that I love. But at those prices, a KO is awfully tempting... unless you just bought the only one!
Mark, you have to be stopped.

I know, Neal. But at those prices, like the man said, it's just too good to pass up. Anyhow, I will most likely sell it when the Pomeroy F4 arrives. This will give me a sort of F like oval hole mando to pick on in the meantime.

Mark, #you have to be stopped.
No, no - let him go. When he sells, he'll have to drop the price and we'll feed on his leavings.

Hey Mark, any word on what Ken has left other than Rigels and Breedloves?

I didn't really ask. I called to buy an OO, but he was sold out of them, so I took a KO. Chatted a little with Ken, but didn't really get into what else he has left in stock. Give him a call.

JML I had a KF Quartz and it was a great all around mandolin. You better watch out though the Breedlove fretboard is really comfortable all the way up the neck.I'll bet you're gonna like it.The K body is cool too. Lp

OOPS!!! Sorry about saying in my previous post that it was the last OF.
Ken just emailed me and indicated that he has more than one still in stock.
I goofed!!
I just got my 1st mandola from Ken. It's an '88 Flatiron. If you folks haven't messed with a mandola yet, you're in for a treat.

Wait a minute...Breedlove quartz KO for 700 bucks?? It's listed on their website at starting at $1599! Who is this Ken guy and how do I find out about this?? I've had a Breedlove on my wish list for quite some time and if it's true I can get one for less than half list I gotta find out about it.
Ken Cartwright had an ad in the classifieds selling off his Breedlove stock at quite remarkable prices. The ad seems to be gone now, so I assume he sold out-- but you may want to contact him to make sure.
The people who snagged these are lucky indeed-- I doubt you'll see prices like this on a new Breedlove anywhere else. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to match those prices on a used instrument.

I went with the cascade and my girlfriend an Atlas guitar. Now the wait. The price was more than right.
