Mandolin Sounds

Could anyone help me out here?

I'm trying to get some clips of different mando types (i.e. loar, Dudenbostel, etc)

I just want to get a bit of a taste of the different types of sounds out there.

David Grisman and Tony Rice have a CD out called "Tone Poems," where they play a different pair (mandolin/guitar) of famous vintage instruments on each cut. There is a great booklet with the CD explaining the history of each instrument.

Also, there is the Wintergrass Mandolin Tasting CD available through this site, where various great mandolins were sampled. It is available through this site, I believe.

There was a second Mandolin Tasting this year. I don't know if it will result in a CD or not. There is a current thread on it on this board.
