I don't know for sure but I think that's one of those new Invisible mandos. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Looks like it could be an electric bandurria. The traditional acoustic bandurria is of Spanish decent, and in some of its encarnations, is setup as a 6 course instrument. Its tuning may vary a bit from Spain to Puerto Rico to the Phillipines, but its 6 courses are often tuned in 4ths. (Though, I wonder if the guy in the pic actually tunes it like a little guitar...)

CORRECTION:
MK is playing a Phantom Mandoguitar (http://www.edromanguitars.com/guitar2/phantom/mando_pha.htm), which appears to be a copy of the original Vox Mandoguitar (http://www.gruhn.com/features/voxmg/voxmg.html).

It's a 12-string mando-guitar. Buddy Miller plays one, too. The one shown is, I think, a Phantom. There's also a make called a Hammertone.

Or, you could buy this Hammertone (in our Classifieds) from Spruce!
