I was looking for strings on Juststrings.com and came across Wyres strings. #I have not seen them before and was wondering if anyone else has used them. #They come in a standard and coated version. #Any info would be appreciated although I may order a set just out of curiosity.

The website looks interesting...

I'm sorta intrigued by the 11 16 26 41 handmade set.

If you get some, gimme the lowdown.

Jack Spira included some when my mandola was delivered. Far as I can tell they're decent strings. My mandola has a pin bridge, so the ones used have ball ends and are packaged singly. I believe they're more available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, but I may be mistaken. I don't recall ordering them myself.

I thought the Wyres coated strings were less than EXPs or Elixirs. #I think they are suppose to last longer like the EXPs and Elixirs too.

I have used the Wyres phos. broz. med-lite gauge H150 guitar strings(non-coated);I liked the sound and feel of them;I will be trying the mandolins strings.
