Stellar work Gavin. Love the inlay, color, burst, everything.
What material did you use for the yellow sunflower?

The "Yellow" is a very very thin solution of shellac with a Trans Tint Vintage Amber dye added to it. When applied and cured it is an extreemly thin coating...G

Gavin, I was listening to and learning from the Peter-O "Minnestoa" album late last night. #The songs Metis and Plowman's Reel, I believe.
Your instrument in his hands is some of the sweetest mandolin I have ever heard.

Be still, my heart! #Gavin, that instrument is gorgeous! #I still have never seen a used Baird mandolin for sale. #This tells me something, but I need to scrape up some money first.
Extraordinary, Mr. Baird. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Since when did Telluride move to Kansas? Was there a big earthquake I didn't hear about? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
If it's yours, John, how about a review.

WOW--->
That sunflower inlay is one of the nicest things I have ever seen....Seriously, when I dream of my own custom mando, something like that is exctly what I picture on the headstock.....Just amazing
Of course, being a Kansan myself, I may be a bit biased!
