Is anyone planning on going to the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival this year? It is being held 12-15 May 2005.

Yep. I already have the tickets and the campground reservation. I am leaning hard towards the festival during these dark, cold Columbus, Ohio winter months. Larry

My sister lives in Gettysburg, but I haven't gone to the festival yet. I'm not too much on crowds. From all I hear, it's a good one.

I'm #only 30 or so miles away so I'll probably make it for 1 day. Have to see the line up before I decide which day....or 2.
Site #50, down in the grove. This'll be my 6th consecutive Gettysburg festival.

My fiance and I are thinking of going. Last year I was in Jacksonville, FL for work so I missed it. The year before that, we were planning on going and camping, but the campground had a regulation about dogs being 25 lbs or less. Well we had a Chesapeake Bay Retriever (105 lbs), so we chose not to go if we could not take him.
Well, we lost Rebel last September to liver cancer. I think if I'm not traveling for work, we are going to go Fri-Sun.
Mandomick, I live in Frederick, so I'm close also.

I'll probably be there for a day as well. Only driving from Columbia.

I`ll be there to visit with my buddy Brian of The Dry Branch Fire Squad...Stop by their table and check out their CD`s. I`ll probably be hanging around there somewhere...Maybe we can all pick a few...Look for someone wearing a tee shirt with "Durham Station Bluegrass Band " written on it...Willie

I intend to give it a shot... do y'all know how far in advance I'll need to reserve a campsite at Granite Hill? Thanks.

Hey Willie, I hope you make it there, as I will be ready to do some jammin with you. I really enjoyed picking with you there last time. I dig that one song you sang- you know, the one there was a video on the net of you doing. I can't remember the name of it.

Reference reserving a campsite, it seems to depend upon your rig. If you drive one of those big honkin', 40 foot, full-service, driving rigs you probably better contact Granite Hill Campground today. A month or so ago when I reserved a site for my small, modest trailer they indicated full-hookup sites were going fast. Now, if you are the back to nature type who pitches a tent, you probably have nothing to worry about. Either way, I wouldn't wait much longer. They told me they began taking site reservations right after last year's May show. Larry
