I know this isn't a mando topic but I was wanting to tell you guys. My wife went to the doctor yesterday and her blood pressure is high. They tested for Preclampsia and she tested positive.
They are wanting her to come in the morning to be admitted to the hospital. They will run some more tests and then Friday morn they will more than likely induce labor.
I doubt that I get to be back on here until after the boy gets here. I'll more than likely stay at the hospital for the next couple of days.
And to make this a mando topic, I'm taking my mando with me to the hospital and practice in the room till time to go into the labor room.
Pray for us. Gonna bring another picker home soon!!!!!

Best of luck to ya! Our future picker arrived three weeks ago. It's an amazing experience to say the least. Music played a big part of our labor process. I play a lot to little Carmen and she seems quite partial to "Midnight on the Water", "Shady Grove" and more recently, "The Weight" which contains a verse with her namesake. Sending you and your wife positive vibrations. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

Rob,
getting them into bed at 8 when they are 1 is the easy bit, when they reach 18 it's trying to get them OUT of bed at 8 is the problem http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

f5, I learned a little while ago that Friday is Ralph's birthday.
Not to sound too corny, but wouldn't that be neat for my second born to be born on his birthday.
Quite possibly be them reincarnated. I know, I know, wishful thinking. But the Bible says that you have not because you ask not. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have a brand new boy in the house too.....
I have a brand new boy in the house on a regular basis. It's called puberty. Sometimes I wonder. . . . .
Not to digress.
Congratulations to the new parents. In the words of one of my oldest buddys, you aren't an adult until you have a kid or loose a parent. You know, I believe that (kinda).

Congrats i hope everything goes smoothly.

Well, Dillon James Stanley is hee and we've finally brought him home.
He was born at 12:06 Feb. 26. He was 6 minutes from being born on the same day as Ralph Stanley. Here's a pic.

Congratulations! February 26 is a high-mojo day that my son Sam is happy to share (see my recent "rejoice with me" thread, which actually was prompted by earlier entries in this one, but I didn't want to clutter it up with anything worrisome). That's a fine solid name, and we wish you all the best! -- Paul

A life changing experience it is, but it's the best thing thats ever happened to me. The feeling ya get when your kid does good, no matter how inconsequiential it may seem is a reason in it's self to have a few! I wonder if in some of the third world countries where life is always a struggle, if that could have some bearing on why a starvin family would continue to pop out kids every 9 or 10 months. Those little rewards make your heart just swell up like a ramen noodle in hot water! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Beautiful baby BTW!

Thank yall.
Twaang, i read the other post from you and it is a blessing to me. Thank you.
Mandolooter, my heart has still yet to deflate.
pickinpox, my sister-in-law has a pic of Dill beside my mando. As soon as I can load them, I'll put one on here.
Devin, his brother has told me that he wants to learn the guitar and the b*#jo. I'm guessing that Dill will learn the mando and fiddle. But shoot, I may just spread the love and get them on all of them. Like that kid from the Rochesters gospel group. He plays it all, just not at the same time. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Thank yall, I just had to tell somebody.
beautiful! best job you'll ever have is being a dad!
