The 2015 Hill Country Acoustic Music Camp will hold their Winter Acoustic Music weekend produced by R.B. Miller on January 9-11 at the Mt. Wesley Conference Center in Kerrville and will feature Steve Smith and Billy Bright in the mandolin faculty along with an all-star case of supporting instructors on banjo, guitar, fiddle, bass and voice.

Rebel Records has announced a September 30, 2014 release date for If You Only Knew: The Best of Larry Rice. Rice, the brother of Tony and Wyatt Rice, passed away May 13, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. His legacy includes several superb bluegrass recordings that featured his singer/songwriter and mandolin talents.

Nonesuch Records is set to release Bass and Mandolin on September 9, 2014, the second recorded collaboration from bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile. The project contains ten original compositions. Meyer also plays piano on the album and Thile plays guitar. The duo begins a North American tour next week with new dates still being added.
