Description:

This instrument appears to be all original... it has a nice skin head and it is from the 1920's and is quite the collector's item.

Slingerland was one of the largest manufacturers of banjo ukuleles. Most of them were plain, modestly priced instruments, although they also made some fancy ones.
Slingerland is best known to collectors of banjo ukuleles as the maker of the May Bell line of instruments.

This uke sounds wonderful, it is in great condition and it has the fancy bird's eye maple wood on both the banjo ring and neck. It has that wonderful banjo uke sound.

The photo does not do it justice but if you want me to send you more photos I can try to email better ones.

Description:

Here is another of my Ukuleles. Top is of spalted curly maple from a park named after Glen Miller. Sides are of curly maple. The back is a very unique figured maple book matched set. Looks like some characters face or something else. Like looking at clouds and seeing different shapes, depends on the observer. lol. The neck is of Lincoln walnut. The fret board is of brazillian cherry as is the bridge. It has a sweet loud tone and plays easy and true. Great value for a fully hand made from scratch instrument. Price is $229 plus shipping. Please add $50 for a hard shell delux case with a hygrometer built in.
Other photos and a sound clip on request
