Description:	Both of these instruments are made from all-American woods. Both have K&K Sound "Twin Spot" pickups installed internally. Both are my own design, built by my own hands, and are therefore unique. I have recently reworked the setup on both and they are very comfortable to play. I only want to sell ONE; I will keep the other for my own use. The mandolin: * western redcedar top with cherry (or plum?) b/s and black walnut neck and trim * top built with a "cant" or "bend" like a bowlback or an old Martin mandolin--don't call it a flat-top! * true 14 in. scale, slightly radiused fingerboard * crisp tone, nice action, good dynamic range * my main instrument since 2006, it's done everything I've asked of it The octave mandolin/Irish bouzouki: * western redcedar top, figured bigleaf maple b/s, black walnut trim and neck * scaled-down guitar-shaped body, guitar-style pin-bridge and scalloped X-bracing * completed 2007 * 25.2 in. scale, slightly radiused fingerboard * bright, punchy bouzouki tone with lots of sustain * also available: gig bag ($30), John McGann's "A Guide to Octave Mandolin and Bouzouki" with CD ($18), spare strings (free) I am asking $650 for either, but any reasonable offer will be considered.
