Description:	Fylde Short Scale Bouzouki - Big Bodied, full sounding instrument with a fitted case. This could be considered a long scale octave or a short scaled Bouzouki. Body - I believe this is Sapele Mahogany with a carved spruce top and Mahogany neck. From Rogers web site: Fingerboard width at nut (zero fret) 1'� inches (38 mm) Scale length - 24 '� inches (629 mm) String Spacing at Bridge - 2 '� inches Overall length - 37 '� inches (946 mm) Body Width - 15 1/16 inches(383 mm) Side Depth - at tail pin 3 inches (76 mm) Tuners - either Grover Individual, Schallers or Gotoh. Electronics - built in Headway pick up with pre amp. Sound is huge and delicate, easy action but - it has a thicker neck than I like. Roger Bucknall's instruments are quite under rated and not all that common in the US. This is the only instrument I've ever played which works as octave strung - up the neck. Quite often the term 'Organ Like' sound is used to describe a member of the big mandolin family. Well, this instrument defines the term. It comes with a spare set of strings - and the huge case. Issues - reason for selling. I have two other Octaves, which I play more often - it's just been sitting around for too long and am selling it for what I paid. I mentioned this has a HUGE, fitted case. It seems the previous owner, wasn't paying attention and scratched the finish on the top with one of the tabs from the lock mechanism. It doesn't affect the sound or really the looks but it is annoying. Other than that, it's in very good condition.
